Explanation
The Rhyzen series is Joola’s latest adhesive tension rubber, which will be released in the spring-summer 2021. Joola is located in the latest high-end adhesive rubber. Joola is rather a famous manufacturer of large ball table tennis in Japan, and I think many of you know that. Joola, who is not so much noticed, recognizes that the German-made rubber, Dynalyz AGR, which can be called the evolutionary post-Tenergy rubber of recent years, has been released relatively early. It may have been lost due to promotion etc., but it will be a noteworthy manufacturer. The evolutionary post-Tenergy rubber and its release date that katsuo000 thinks are shown below.
1. Rasanter: 2019 Autumn-Winter
2. Dynaryz AGR: 2020 Spring-Summer
3. Target Pro XD 52.5: 2020 Autumn-Winter
4. Evolution MX-D: 2021 Spring-Summer
5. Rhyzen ZGR: 2021 Spring-Summer
6. DNA Platinum XH: 2021 Summer-Autumn
7. DNA Dragon Grip: 2021 Summer-Autumn
There are some parts that are blurred by advertisements and promotions, and there are things that did not have an impact because Mr. Table Tennis Kingdom did not pick up, but when you check the release time, Joola feels that the release time is very early. Also, the DNA Platinum Dragon Grip has been released, but I think it is also noteworthy that it is the earliest adhesive tension rubber among the latest German rubber! What kind of rubber is Reisen ZGR?
The rubber Rhyzen ZGR that I tried this time is one of the two Ryzen series, and it is the harder one. The soft Rhyzen CMD is cheap and seems to be a rubber targeting a wide range of people. On the other hand, Rhyzen ZGR on this page has a sponge that is hard + and hard, spin performance is equivalent to Yola’s signature adhesive rubber, Golden Tango, and speed performance is Rhyzer Pro 45. It will be a very high performance rubber equivalent to. By the way, the golden tango has not been tried out yet, but it is a rubber that was taken up by Table Tennis Kingdom and WRM, and it is an image that it is a rubber that bounces while being sticky. I’m looking forward to the same rotation as the golden tango and faster speed. Also, when I read the pamphlet, I could expect that the Ryzen series would use the same new technology as the Dynaryz sponge and sheet, and would have high performance. The Dynaryz AGR is a rubber that looks like a Tenergy, and I think it is a rubber that can be classified as an evolutionary post-Tenergy, but it means that it uses the same technology as that rubber. There was almost no information about what kind of rubber it was, but I bought it with the expectation that it was not a bad rubber because of its performance value and price range.
Published performance value
Rhyzen ZGR is a professional rubber in the rubber category of Yola, and the price is 6,300 yen + tax. Will it be discounted to around 5,000 yen? It’s cheaper than Dynaryz! This is quite a point. The higher rotation performance and speed performance than the signboard rubber and golden tango are still noteworthy! At present, you can think of Joola’s rubber, which has the highest performance among adhesive rubbers, as Reisen ZGR!
It will be a hardness tester comparison. You can see that it is a harder rubber than Dynaryz AGR. Also, the difference between the seat side and the sponge side of shore a suggests that it is easier to handle than Dignics, though not as much as Tenergy. It also suggested that it is harder and more difficult to handle than the Dynaryz AGR. Compared with adhesive rubber, it seems to be a rubber that is considerably easier to handle than Dignics 09C.
Rhyzen ZGR pasting and weight
↑This white sheet is quite similar to the DNA Dragon Grip of Table Tennis Kingdom. Both are made in Germany and are probably manufactured in a nearby location (factory?).
It’s an adhesive tension rubber, so it’s a little heavy. Virtoso AC has a slightly larger blade area than the standard, so it tends to be heavy. However, when I followed the ball, it bounced quite a bit, and the adhesive strength of the sheet was only slightly adhesive, so I felt that it was not an adhesive rubber with a trowel, but rather a rubber closer to Dignics 09C.
Rhyzen ZGR Tacky tension Hard Balance Sponge Hyper Traction Surface (HS Traction) Made in Germany ・Sponge Thickness: 2.0 mm, Max ・Speed: 8.5 ・Spin: 11 ・Category: Professional ・Sponge stiffness: Hard+ ・6,300 yen + tax ・73 g (before cut) → 53 g (after cut)
By the way, Joola’s package has been renewed and the sheet shape has been digitized. Below is the numerical value of the sheet shape of Dynaryz AGR. I compared it with Reisen ZGR.
The black one is the Rhyzen ZGR.
Rhyzen ZGR: HS Traction Balance Sponge hard+
grain thickness 1.5 mm, grain spacing 0.8 mm, grain height 0.7 mm
Dynaryz AGR: AS Traction Hyper Bounce Sponge hard
grain thickness 1.7 mm, grain spacing 0.6 mm, grain height 0.9 mm
The thicker the grains, the narrower the grain spacing, and the lower the grain height, the higher the rotation performance and the more sticky the sheet. I think that the Rhyzen ZGR has finer grains and wider grain spacing to improve speed performance, while lowering the grain height to make it more sticky.
Three features of Rhyzen ZGR
Bouncing adhesive tension!
The first thing I felt when I used it was, “Oh, this is a very bouncy adhesive rubber!” It’s not sticky at all. Looking at the seat shape, it has a tension-type shape. The hitting sound was high and it was a narrow table tennis field, so I thought that it was a tension rubber with a sense of speed comparable to Dignics 05. The rubber that I thought was close to me was Dignics 09C! Even considering the release date, I felt that Yola was conscious of the dig 09C when it was released.
However, although it bounces, I was able to do something that seems to be an adhesive rubber. This was very good. I felt that the lower rotation hit is easy to lift and hit, and the amount of rotation is also firmly applied. You said that it’s harder to get the balls together and it’s harder to block than Dignics 05. Since Virtoso AC is a thin inner carbon, I felt that it was a combination that was easy to handle and did not impair the rotational performance. Generally, adhesive rubber is good! It was a trial hit that I felt.
If you go this far, you can imagine a person who is good at guessing, but there is no such thing as a genuine habit ball like a leopard. Don’t buy it in the hope of stickiness. Instead, it is an adhesive tension rubber with higher speed performance than spin tension. I think you should recognize it as such an adhesive tension rubber and purchase it.
Can be used in the back if combined with a carbon racket!
It bounces a lot, so I felt that it could be used even in the back! In particular, it has a grip like adhesive rubber, and Chiquita and backhand drive may have been easier to do than Honestly Dignics 05. It may be because Dignics 05 is a strange rubber that is a little difficult to handle. I tried to block it, but I didn’t feel that it would fall even if I hit it flat, and that it would be too affected by the rotation of the opponent. I put it on the inner carbon racket this time, but I imagine that even the outer carbon racket can be handled if it can overcome the hardness and weight.
Counter drive is easy to do in spite of the good bite
I also changed the racket, and the ease of handling the equipment as a whole has moved in the direction of being easy to handle, and although it is a little difficult to make an objective comparison, the counter drive has entered more than I expected. It was a rubber with a good bite, so I thought it would be difficult, but it was a practice game because it settled down like an adhesive rubber, but I was happy that it became one of the scoring sources. It was an image that it was more stable to counter drive by removing the rotation axis than to overwrite the rotation of the other party directly.
Each technics review
Fore hand
Light hit
The shot feeling and momentum were comparable to those of spin-type tension rubber.
Drive on long balls and rallies
When the hitting point was dropped, it was easy to drive with a large amount of rotation due to the good biting.
Drive with open face
It seems to be an adhesive rubber, it was easier to speed drive by opening the surface for downward rotation hitting etc. The amount of rotation may not be a little.
Loop (top spin) drive against back spin
It popped out quite well, and I felt that it was easy to make a loop with a high trajectory like Dignics 05. Instead, the amount of rotation was also high.
Speed drive against back spin
I think it’s easier to open the face. I think it’s difficult to bring it if you get involved too much. However, it’s pretty good to bite in, so if you have the power, you can take it with you.
Curve / shoot drive
The speed was fast and the ball didn’t sink, so I didn’t get the impression that it would bend much.
Block
It was easy to do. Since the bite is good, there are many over mistakes, and I thought that it was not like an adhesive rubber.
Counter drive
At first, there were many over-misses, but it became stable by catching it a little.
Stop
The bite is better than I expected, so it may come to mind if you just hit it. Trying to cut will lower the trajectory, but it may be a little longer.
Push
It was good that the swing had a lower trajectory. I didn’t feel it would cut too much, probably because Dignics 05 was cut too much.
Fore flick
I could only play it, but I couldn’t play it. I think it will be more stable if it is rotated.
Back hand
Light hit
Even in the back, I didn’t feel any discomfort. It may be said that it is a slightly heavy spin type tension rubber.
Drive on long balls and rallies
It wasn’t bad, but when it went down, the speed slowed down a little because there was no power.
Loop (top spin) drive against back spin
It was easier than I expected. It may be in the back.
Speed drive against back spin
The back was easier to open, so it was easier to do because of the angle.
Block
I didn’t feel any discomfort. I think it’s because of the weight and hardness.
Push
I don’t have the impression that it will cut that much, but it was easy to do.
Chiquita
It was easy to do. Since it grips the ball, it was good that the overwrite system was especially easy to do.
